Why We Started

We were originally struggling with insect bites at our home, and like most homeowners in Singapore, we tried everything: insect repellent sprays, burning mosquito coils, citronella solutions, electric insect killers, essential oil remedies, and even “natural hacks” shared online. Some worked briefly, some didn’t work at all—and the ones that seemed effective usually wore off quickly, especially in open, humid homes where mosquitoes and bugs always find a way back.

Then came the ongoing nuisance: ants, cockroaches, flies, and even lizards—because where there are bugs, lizards follow. We tried spot spraying, plug-in repellents, chalk lines, and other quick fixes, but the same pattern kept repeating: temporary relief, followed by the pests returning.

That’s when we realized the real solution isn’t another short-term deterrent—it’s stopping pests from entering in the first place.

We started Block Bug Screens after seeing too many friends like us frustrated by fixes that failed months later: sagging mesh, peeling edges, uneven frames, and screens that simply don’t hold up under Singapore’s weather. Our goal is simple—deliver durable, properly fitted bug screens that stay firm, stay sealed, and keep mosquitoes and household pests out long-term.

Because in Singapore, pests don’t “go away.” They just come back—unless you block them out for good.
